At Craft CXM, we are lucky enough to partner with some of the best technologies in the CX space and as such, we’re often asked our opinion on technology vendors… Sure there are a number of reports, quadrants, and reviews for the platforms which, depending on the report, gives a differing point of view. As such, we wanted to start a conversation to help people form more informed opinions about the market. The next in our series is Adobe.
Adobe Inc. previously Adobe Systems Incorporated founded in 1982 by John Warnock and Charles Geschke to develop and sell the PostScript page description language before developing animation and multimedia that eventuated to becoming Adobe Premier Pro. Currently Adobe offers nearly 100 unique products in its catalogue across a range of categories including: Graphic Design, Web Design, Video editing, Animation and visual/audio effects, e-learning, Content & Asset management, Data and Marketing Technologies as well as supply chain & workflow MRM tools. These products are bundled into core offerings such as: Creative Cloud, Experience Cloud, Creative Suite, and a few others.
For the purposes of our spotlight series, we’ll focus on the below core offerings:
- Adobe Experience Platform (AEP). A relatively new product offering in Software terms in it’s 5th year in market, AEP is considered a part of the wider Experience Cloud solution set. Comprising of 3 core modules in Real-Time CDP, Journey Optimizer and Customer Journey Analytics, AEP is positioned as a full customer experience solution that enables users to centralise and standardise customer data, insights and content from source, apply AI Machine learning and deliver personalised experiences to end customers across channels in real time.
- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). A well established and mature offering, AEM is a comprehensive content management solution for building websites, mobile apps and forms. Now available as a cloud service, AEM is made up of several modular components of various specialties aligned to client needs such as Assets, Sites, Forms, Content and Commerce can all stand alone or work in sync across your ecosystem.
- Adobe Experience Cloud (AEC). Whilst both AEP and AEM are considered part of the full AEC ecosystem, AEC does contain several modules that stand alone and serve individual purposes. Popular modules such as Adobe Campaign (ACC/ACS), Adobe Analytics (AA), Adobe Target (AT), Marketo and Workfront all add individual capabilities across campaign management, processing and analytics.
With such a wide product set, Adobe have offerings widely used in the market globally across a range of sectors. Considered by many as a market leader across digital, content and creative requirements, Adobe have made great strides in recent times in developing deep data driven capabilities across the CDP and campaign segmentation/decision functions, becoming a leading full-suite offering to clients.
